Error description
When running z/OS aysnc recovery program user got DB2 -206 error from library server. This was caused by a store issue. At the first of the month, they started to use new collections. These collections were defined to OAM and the resource manager pre-store exits. They were not defined in the library server for the resource manager. The user did a store request, it went to the API and resource manager. The resource manager stored it to OAM using the new collection. It then invoked an endtran to the api and library server. The library server issued a failure as the collection was invalid. The api failed to send the library server failure back to the resource manager as part of the endtran processing. This caused the RM to leave a record in the tracking table and also leave the object in OAM. When async recovery ran, the library server had the -206 because it had been cleaned up on the collection failure. Fixing the apis actions will resolve this issue and cause there to be no records in the tracking table or OAM for the failed store request.
Local fix
Can run the validation and cleanup utility code and then delete the records from the tacking tables. Primary action is to make sure new collections are defined to the library server before storing any items using them.
