Upgrading ClearCase on Windows resets a custom version extended name suffix value to the default value

Troubleshooting


Problem

Upgrading IBM Rational ClearCase on Microsoft Windows from 7.1.2.8 (or earlier) to 7.1.2.9 (or later), or from 8.0.0.4 (or earlier) to 8.0.0.5 (or later) will cause a non default value for the version extended name suffix to reset to the default value, @@.

Symptom

The non default value of the version extended name suffix has been reset to the default.
