Error description

  • Fail to apply CM83 FP7 on HP-UX IA64 platform with the following
error message:

ID VALUE_NOT_SET is used in invoking cmcfgdbu
Return code is 13
05/07/2008 14:56:18.445 DEBUG:: Command
"/var/tmp/CM/db2cmv8/config/lscfg" completed with exit value 13.

It is a defect on HP-UX IA64 platform only. The CM prerequisite
checking for HP-UX IA64 platform is not correct to complete the
installation.

Local fix

  • N/A.

Problem summary

  • Problem found on HPU-UX _ia64. The code that looks for
databases
on the target system does not have the HP-UX versions of DB2 or
Oracle
The product will not install.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR has been fixed in FP9.
