APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • CM8.2 customer is retrieving content from an RM using the
getContent() API call. IHS sends a redirect response (302). The
API ends up retrieving the error page as the content.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The Java API does not throw an exception when HTTP returns the
    invalid return code 302

Problem conclusion

  • InDKLobICM.java, change the code in getHTTPGetResponse() method
by adding a "setInstanceFollowRedirects(false)" statement to the
HttpURLConnection urlconn object so that it won't hide any bad
return code, like 302 from the HTTP server. The fix is in cm82
    fixpack 11.

Temporary fix
