Error description

  • On the Graphical View tab in Graphical Scheduling (GS) you can
specify a Quick Filter or Filter in the upper section of the
window that shows the Gantt Chart for the Work Orders. When
you specify a Filter, close the Schedule and then return to
that Schedule the Filter has been saved and is reapplied to the
    Schedule.
The Resource section at the bottom which shows Craft and Crew
usage and availability also has a Quick Filter and a Filter.
They can be used to Filter the Resource section. However
the Resource section filters are not saved and reapplied as are
the ones in the Gantt. In 7.5 they were
    saved and reapplied.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Create a new work order with duration 5 and two Crafts for
    Planned
    Labor. Save.
    2. Duplicate that new work order twice so that now you have 3
    new work orders.
    3. Create a new Schedule with Calendar DAY/Shift DAY (extend
the Calendar's End Date and Apply Shifts if needed).
    4. Create a Work Query to select the 3 new work orders. Save.
    5. Click on the Graphical View tab.
    6. In the top section, the Gantt section that shows the work
    orders,
use the Quick Filter in the upper left to select just one of
    the work orders.
    7. In the bottom section, the Resource section, use the Quick
Filter to select just one of the Crafts shown.
    8. Clear the schedule.
    9. Re-open it on the List tab.
    10. Click on the Graphical View tab and you will see that the
Gantt filter is still in effect but the Resource Section filter
    is gone.
    11. In the Gantt Section click on the Filter toolbar button to
open the filter row. Enter something in one of the columns to
make it select only one or 2 of the 3 work orders.
    12. In the Resource Section click on the Filter toolbar button
to open the filter row. Enter something in Resource Column to
make it select just one of the Crafts.
    13. Clear the schedule.
    14. Re-open it on the List tab.
    15. Click on the Graphical View tab and you will see that the
Gantt filter is still in effect but the Resource Section filter
    is gone again.
    RESULTS:
The Resource section filter is cleared in both cases.
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
It should be saved just like the Gantt Section filter. It
should be saved and reapplied the next time the schedule is
    opened.
    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Scheduler 7.6.1.0 with IFix 009 and in pre-GA 7.6.1.2
