Error description
In BigFix console the "Run Capacity Scan and Upload Results (9.2.15.0)" fixlet shows "-1" under "Exit Code" column. The fixlet action script shows: --- Completed wait sh -c "'{parameter "homefolder" as string}/runcit_tlm_hw.sh' > '{parameter "logfilepath" as string}' 2>&1" Failed continue if {exit code of action = 0} --- It indicates failure of the "runcit_tlm_hw.sh" hardware capacity scan script. Manual test scan returns the following message and error code: --- # "/opt/tivoli/cit/bin/wscanhw" -c "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT/tlm_hw_config.xml" -o "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT/tlm_hw_TEST.xml" Could not load a transcoding service # echo $? 255 --- Additionally, under "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT" directory of BigFix client (assuming client ID 123456789) the "123456789_citlog.log" file contains software scan-related entries with the same error: --- [2019-07-01 00:00:00 UTC] "/opt/tivoli/cit/bin/wscansw" -c "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT/sw_config.xml" -i "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT/catalog.xml" -o "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT/123456789_cit.xml.work" -e "/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/CIT/123456789_citlog.xml" Could not load a transcoding service [2019-07-01 00:00:00 UTC] Catalog scan failed: scanner finished with errors (255) --- The "Could not load a transcoding service" message points to a CIT scanner library and issue with locale not set or set incorrectly.
