Error description

  • Appllications such as Workflow Designer, Graphical Scheduling
(GS) and in Graphical Assignment (GA) have a problem
getting back to first record on the List View tab. When
using the Previous record button on the main tab eventually you
will get the message that you are at the first record:
          BMXAA4135I - At first record.
but you are not, you are on the second record, and you will not
be able to get back to the first one.
This happens when you have a default query defined for the
application that shows a subset of all the records on the List
View when you first start up the application.
This is related to APAR IJ16398.
NOTE TO QA: Test this in serval applications, not just in WF
Designer. Presently this works correctly already in WOTrack
    and in Labor.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE (these steps are for WF Designer but the
same problem is present in GS and in GA):
    1. Go to WF Designer and create 3 processes. They do not need
any nodes. Just a name and an Object and Save. Call the
first 2 TEST1 and TEST2 and the third one EXTRA
    2. Click on List View and query for those 2 named TEST
    3. Click on Save Query. Give it a name and a description and
    check Default
    4. Go back to Start Center
    5. Open WF Designer and you will see the 2 processes on the
    List tab
    6. Click on the first process. You will see it displayed on
    the Canvas tab.
    7. Click on Next Process toolbar button. You will see the
    second process.
    8. Click on the Previous Process button. You will get this
    message:
           BMXAA4135I - At first record.
    RESULTS:
In spite of the message you will still see the second process
on the Canvas tab. Clicking on Previous Process will not take
you to the first process as it should.
NOTE: That message is no longer used in Maximo. I can't
remember when its use was discontinued. Now Maximo just
grays out the Previous or Next button if you are at the first
or at the last record. So the display of this message is a
    bug, too.
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
Clicking on Previous Process should take you to the first
    process.
    VERSION INFORMATION:
Reproduced in both 7.6.1.0 and in 7.6.1.1 and in pre-GA 7.6.1.2.

Local fix

  • When you get the At First Record message, click OK to clear it.
Click on List View and then back on the Schedule tab and now
you can go back and forth all the way without the error
