Error description
This APAR includes fixes to various defects identified in CICS Explorer V5.5.0.
Local fix
Problem summary
- The Java service level shipped with CICS Explorer (SR5 FP25) should be updated to a later Fix Pack level. - Usability enhancements are needed for CICS object editors. - When an EP Adapter is created in a bundle project, some adapter types have long descriptions that don't wrap. The text may require more space than available on the display, and no scroll bar is provided.
Problem conclusion
- The Java service level shipped with CICS Explorer has been updated to Java 8 SR5 FP35. - For CICS resource and definition editors, a right-click Edit menu option is now provided and non-editable attribute names are greyed out. - The EP editor layout has been altered so that EP adapter type descriptions can be fully viewed. . This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.0.4 of the CICS Explorer. .
