Abstract

A new version of the Netcool/OMNIbus Gateway for SNMP will be available to download from 30 October 2020.

Content

This version of the gateway contains the following updates:

  • Changes to Net-SNMP library to remediate security vulnerabilities: CVE-2020-15861, CVE-2020-15862

This version of the gateway contains fixes for the following APARs:

  • IJ21440: Fixed issue that made probe not able to receive traps with AES, AES-192 and AES-256 privacy types.
  • IJ28244: No delay for next retry attempt to send trap after previous send fails.

The Netcool/OMNIbus V8.1 version of this gateway supports the following Operating Systems:  AIX, Linux, Linux on IBM Z, Solaris, and Windows.
