IT31073: ORACLE BACKUP FAILS TO FIND THE INSTANCE FROM THE APPLICATION SERVER WHEN SSH KEY IS USED

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The SSH key is properly generated on Oracle server and added in
    Spectrum Protect Plus UI. When the Oracle application server is
    configured via this SSH key, the test hung and backup fails to
    find the instance from the application server:
    
    ERROR,1573629271867,<date,time,timezone>,2,CTGGA2091,Failed to
    find the instance from the application server for instance <host
    name> / OraHome1
    
    The virgo log shows:

    When specifying the UserID and Password, the problem is gone.

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus has been updated to correct the
    problem. The node.js update code for SSH keys was added to
    address the problem.
