Problem conclusion

  • vSnap calculates the capacity of a pool based on the capacity of
the underlying disks. If a pool is backed by files created in a
filesystem, vSnap did not correctly take into account the size
of the files. This resulted in the pool capacity being seen as
zero, and the used capacity being shown as a negative number.
The problem has been resolved by updating vSnap to ensure it
takes file sizes into account when calculating capacity of a
    file-backed pool.
