IT26594: ALLOW UNPROMOTED UDPS TO BE OVERRIDDEN BY PARENT FLOWS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a UDP is defined in a nested subflow, but is not promoted
  then changes made dynamically in the web ui will not be
  reflected. This APAR introduces an opt-in mode enabled by
  setting the env var MQSI_UDP_SUBFLOWS_USE_MAINFLOW_VALUE=1
  which will allow UDPs to always obtain their value from the
  main parent flow.

  All users of IBM Integration Bus version 10 using UDPs in

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If a UDP is defined in a nested subflow, but is not promoted
  then changes made dynamically in the web user interface will not
  be reflected in the runtime behaviour of the flow.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR introduces an opt-in mode enabled by setting the env
  var MQSI_UDP_SUBFLOWS_USE_MAINFLOW_VALUE=1 which will allow UDPs
  to always obtain their value from the main parent flow.
  
  Additionally if there are parent flow level overrides which are
  set in this way then the web user interface will display a new
  section showing these overrides.
