IT24327: EXPORT NODE CONTAINING ARCHIVE DATA RESULTS IN ENDING STATISTICS BEING INCORRECT

APAR status

Error description

  • When exporting a node's archive data, this completes
    successfully, but the reported amount of bytes that have been
    exported far exceeds the actual amount of bytes within the
    occupancy table for that node.
    
    Example :
    
    EXPORT NODE MYNODE DEVCLASS=MYDEVCLASS FILEData=ARCHIVE
    
    Would show the following similar output within the activity log
    :
    
    ANR0609I EXPORT NODE started as process 27. (SESSION: 6203,
    PROCESS: 27)
    
    ANR0631I EXPORT NODE: Copied 20317899 megabytes of data.
    (SESSION: 6203,PROCESS: 27)
    ANR0986I Process 27 for EXPORT NODE running in the BACKGROUND
    processed  9,084 items for a total of 21,304,861,321,613 bytes
    with a completion  state of SUCCESS at 22:38:35.
    
    Checking the Q OCCUPANCY output for the node, will show the
    node has far less data stored within the filespaces and show
    the filespaces hold archive data. The export command
    specifying filedata=archive or filedata=allactive would be
    affected if the filespaces contain archive data.
    
    This will not affect backup data, nor will this affect the
    actual data being exported. This is purely a reporting issue.
