APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The user gets a error for a missing Transfer Type value when
  setting the host data set name then browse to select the PC
  file name. Why does the Template code not set the Binary
  default?
  
  If the user does PC browse first, the Transfer Type is set but
  the host data set name is wrong and must be changed by the
  user. PCOM did not used to work this way (v6.0.11) according to
  the user.
  

Local fix

• Set the Transfer Type before clicking the PC Browse button

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * In IND$FILE File Transfer receive dialog, user clicks on     *
  * browse button to select the PC file name. After selecting    *
  * the file from local PC, an error message popup saying "Host  *
  * file name, PC file name and Transfer type should be filled   *
  * before clicking on add to list button". The error is because *
  * of Transfer Type being null when the dialog tries to auto    *
  * add the file in the transfer list.                           *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Steps to recreate the reported issue:
  1) Using PCOMM log on to 3270 TSO host and go to Ready prompt.
  2) Open receive file from host dialog.
  3) Select file to receive file from host.
  4) Click on Browse button to fill PC File name.
  5) Select a file from local PC and click on save.
  6) Click Yes on warning message for replacing the file. As soon
  as user clicks on Yes, an error message is displayed saying-
     "You must enter data for hostfile name, PC File name, and
  Transfer type before clicking on add to list button".
  

Problem conclusion

• PCSXFER.DLL code changes have been made to auto populate the
  Transfer Type box after selecting the PC file name. This
  will allow the file to be added to the transfer list without any
  error message.
  Fix scheduled for PCOM 12.0.3.0 and 13.0.1.0 Refresh Pack.
