APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• For DataPower on Linux, the DNS configuration is read in
  automatically from the host system and configured as read only
  configuration within DataPower.
  In cases where an existing DataPower on Linux is running 7.5.1
  and then is upgraded to 7.5.2 or later, this DNS configuration
  might not be setup correctly, resulting in DNS failures.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Affected are all customers running DataPower for Linux with the
  "common" package based on release 7.5.1. When such image is
  internally (via a .scrypt4 file) upgraded to a release 7.5.2 or
  higher not containing this APAR, the internal DNS configuration
  is not picked up from the host operating system, leaving
  DataPower without any meaningful DNS configuration.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix is available in 7.5.2.11 and 7.6.0.4
