Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to add a new IBM Rational Synergy database host on IBM Rational Change admin page result in an error "Unable to update transaction server config, could not find ESS port for host XXXXXXXX".
Symptom
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Logon to Rational Change Admin Page on Internet Explorer or Firefox.
- Administration > Server, confirm there is an existing host
- Click on Add button on Hosts field
- Provide the new Rational Synergy database hostname
- Click on Save button
When failed, it shows
Unable to update transaction server config, could not find ESS port for host XXXXXXXXOtherwise, it should display
The transaction server settings have been updated and applied.
