APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The user is using the Pattern Builder and adding an add-on to a
pattern by selecting the version dropdown. All versions of all
add-ons of the same type are shown instead of a list of
available versions for the specific add-on selected.

Including the default add-ons, users have multiple different
NIC add-ons, each one for specific patterns and/or networks that
a NIC may be used for. Some of the available add-ons have
multiple different versions. So there are a lot of irrelevant
versions being displayed.

In the specific scenario that the user was performing there
was only one version of the specific add-on, but there were 15
version displayed in the version dropdown.

Problem summary

  • A tooltip hover help has been added over the drop
down entries to provide more information.

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
and BlueMix Local System version 2.2.3.0.
