IT15763: MODIFICATIONS TO THE DEFAULT IP GROUP ARE IGNORED WHEN USING A SCHEDULED "START LATER" VALUE FOR A DEPLOYMENT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is setting up a deployment using the "Start later"
  parameter.  They enter the needed parameters, choosing an
  "Externally Managed" Cloud Group, then use the "Prepare to
  Deploy" button.  The placement recommendation panel is
  displayed, where they choose to edit the "Data" Network option
  to select an IP group other than the default.  They then click
  on "Deploy"
  
  Later, when they look at the deployed virtual system, they can
  see that the IP in use came from the default IP group and not
  the edited one selected before hitting the "Deploy" button.
  
  The system does not use the change to the IP group when the
  deployment is scheduled for later.  When the deployment is done
  immediately, the change to the IP group is used as expected.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The parameter processing for scheduled deployments had
  a coding error.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
  version 2.2.2.0.
