IT14741: BAR MERGING CONFIGURABLE PROPERTIES THROWS CLASSCASTEXCEPTION

Error description

• In the BAR editor, repeatedly clicking [Build and save] with
  the options : "Compile and in-line resources" and "Override
  configurable property values" (both true and both false), while
  the "Remove contents of the archive before building" option is
  always true, can lead to an error in the "Build and save"
  operation.

  Failed to add file .project to BAR file.
  org.apache.xerces.dom.TextImpl incompatible with

Local fix

• Build BAR from scratch using the desired set of options.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of IBM Integration Toolkit V10 who select [Build and
  save] in the BAR editor with the following 3 options checked:
  "Compile and in-line resources", "Remove contents of the archive
  before building", "Override configurable property values", and
  then select [Build and save] with ONLY the single "Remove
  contents of the archive before building" option checked.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When you switch the build options from inline to source
  deploy and from override configurable properties to "don't
  override" a class cast exception may occur that prevents the
  BAR file build to complete.
  

Problem conclusion

• In the BAR editor, repeatedly clicking [Build and save] with
  the options : "Compile and in-line resources" and "Override
  configurable property values" (both true and both false), while
  the "Remove contents of the archive before building" option is
  always true, will now work successfully each time.
