APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For deployments which include user provided artifacts, such
as archive files added through the"Additional File"
component in the Pattern Builder, the following error occurred:

 Error writing to zip archive.
 at com.ibm.maestro.http.client.ServiceConnection.requestService
 (ServiceConnection.java:299)

The first snapshot will be successful, but subsequent snapshots
will fail.

Local fix

  • The workaround is to remove the /deployment_artifacts
folder from within storehouse for the corresponding
instance before attempting each new snapshot.

Problem summary

  • The snapshot utilities code was losing track of
resources created inside of directories.

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication
System version 2.1.2.2 and 2.2.1.0.
