Problem conclusion
When two or more objects overlap, IBM Personal Communications calculates the RGB values of each object and uses the calculated value to render the areas of overlap. If the color of two overlapping objects are same, the RGB value nullifies, causing the area to be displayed in black (with the background being black by default). The behavior seen is working as designed. To work around the problem, it is recommended for users to change the color of two object appropriately using color mapping facility. Steps to change colors using color mapping are as below: 1. Open IBM Personal Communications emulator session. 2. Select:Â Edit -> Preferences -> Appearance ... -> Color Mapping 3. Customize the color of objects as per the rquirement.
