  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Instead of displaying the host name, seemingly random
characters, including those outside of the expected alphabetical
range may be
written to the MQ error logs.  The following is an example of
this behavior:

AMQ9791: The client application did not supply a user ID and
password

EXPLANATION:
The client application 'client.application' running on host
'&~;AA¢(¢V|?' did not supply a user ID and password.

USERS AFFECTED:
Users of MQV8 using CHCKCLNT on CHLAUTH/CONNAUTH may encounter
this issue.


Platforms affected:
MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
In some paths of execution, the correct host name string was not
copied into buffer representing the MQ message before the buffer
was written to the log.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The MQ queue manager logic has been updated to address this
issue.
