Error description

  • SVC event processing fills up T_STAT_DISK_HIST with redundant
entries and then all probes and event processing take a very
    long time to complete.
When storage subsystem probes appear to hang and never complete,
examine the TPC device server javacore files. Look for entries
like this, which indicate hung threads accessing the
    T_STAT_DISK_HIST table:
    4XESTACKTRACE at
    com/tivoli/itsrm/TStorm/repository/TStatDiskHist.ageOff(TStatDis
    kHist.java:1323(Compiled Code))
    4XESTACKTRACE at
    com/tivoli/itsrm/TStorm/repository/TStatDiskHist.ageHist(TStatDi
    skHist.java:1285(Compiled Code))
    RECREATE STEPS:
Notice hung probes that never seem to complete in the TPC
    web-based GUI
