APAR status

Error description

• TPC 5.2.5 fails at TPC Web GUI component at ant target
  deployWebServer with the following error.
  The root cause is that some files are not copied successfully
  from the WebServer.ear in the TPC cd image to the TPC
  installation directory.
  
  ADMA5016I: Installation of WebServer started.
  ADMA5057E: Application validation failed with an unexpected
  exception while checking module to server relationship:
  org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.exception.Deploy
  mentDescriptorLoadException: dd_in_ear_load_EXC_
  ...
  ADMA5014E: The installation of application WebServer failed.
  Exception at the install !!!! Please contact IBM support
  ...
  WASX7309W: No "save" was performed before the script "E:\Program
  Files\IBM\TPC/web/scripts/deployWebServer.py" exited;
  configuration changes will not be saved.

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR is targeted for the following maintenance

Temporary fix

• 1) Ensure the option for full rollback is selected and click OK
  the error window in TPC installer and wait until it finishes.
  Then close it. Reboot the machine if the installer asks for it.
  
  2) Run checksum on the media you have currently downloaded or
  download again the TPC zip parts and then compare their checksum
  values with the ones on the IBM website. You may have to
  specifically disable Anti-Virus or at least allow it to extract
  the TPC zip parts.
  
  E.g. for Windows, one checksum tool is the one from
  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11533
  
  Provide back the checksum values for each package
  
  If that checks out....
  
  3) Verify that <TPC INSTALL MEDIA DIR>\web\WebServer.ear
  contains a lib folder which has more jar files, including i.e.
  com.ibm.tivoli.rest.utils.jar
  
  4) Start the TPC installer, i.e. setup.bat from <TPC INSTALL
  MEDIA DIR>
