How to byte‑reverse FileNet P8 GUIDs for Oracle and DB2 queries?

Question & Answer

Question

How do you convert the unique identifier (GUID) in the Oracle and DB2 database so that it matches what is displayed in the IBM FileNet P8 Platform via Workplace/WorkplaceXT and FileNet Enterprise Manager?

Answer

For example, this GUID as displayed from FileNet Enterprise Manager, needs to be byte reversed so that it can be queried upon in Oracle. When querying on GUIDs, GUIDs are stored in byte-reversed form in Oracle and DB2 (not MS SQL), whereby the first three sections are pair reversed and the last two are left alone.
