APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • On PureApplication System version 1.1.0.4 and lower deployments
may fail with the following error:

'CWZIP2436W No suitable storage pool was found on which to
    place a new storage volume'

The System Console reports that there is available
space for deployment. This is due to incorrect resource
    reporting.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The storage reported in the System Console was incorrect. The
value appeared to report enough storage for deployments which
would then fail to deploy due to lack of storage.

Problem conclusion

  • The System Console storage controller detail has been updated
to report "Physical storage utilization" and "Physical storage
allocation" in PureApplication System version 2.0.0.0.

Temporary fix
