Error description
PROBLEM / CLIENT CONCERN : Incorrect cost when item is defined as FIFO and capitalized Environment IBM WebSphere Application Server: 7.0.0.29 TAPE: 7.5.0.5 MAM Scheduler 7.5.2.0 Replication Steps : 1. Create an item in item master, flag the item as both Rotating and Capitalized 2. Add item to storeroom and choose cost type FIFO 3. Create a new asset, enter itemnum 8877 in the Rotating item field, enter central in location field and enter 1000 in inventory field. You have now 1 asset in the central storeroom 4. Go to inventory and issue the item against the workorder, if you look into the field line cost you see the value 0, which is the correct value because it´s a capitalized item 5. Open up the workorder that you have issued the item against, select action/ view costs. You have now a value in the field Material costs which is wrong, the value should be 0 not 1800. The Item has been flagged as Capitalized in Item Master, so it should reflect 0 cost. Help Text regarding Capitalized items: === See help text regarding the field capitalized in the item master Field: Capitalized Table.Column: ITEM.CAPITALIZED Specifies whether the item is to be financially accounted for as a capitalized cost or a non-capitalized cost. If the check box is selected, the item is capitalized. If the check box is cleared (the default), the item is a non-capitalized cost. Tools are always accounted for as capitalized costs. You can only change the setting for this field by using the Change Capitalized Status action in Item Master. Capitalized items are always issued and returned at zero cost, regardless of the cost carried in inventory. Non-capitalized items are issued and returned at the standard, last, or average cost, as specified in Multisite. === Note from TPAE L3: === create an apar for it. ===
