APAR status

  • APPC cannot find the requested computer on which to invoke a TP

  • stop/restart the Remote API Client

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED: all Remote API Client users

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
APPC cannot find the requested computer on which to invoke a TP.

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
Sometimes when the server is reset a client can fail to
reconnect to the server so that subsequent APPC dynamic loads
fail on the client, although outgoing transactions may continue
to work.

Problem conclusion

  • There was a fault in the timer handling of one of the threads in
the Windows clients so that a timer did not get restarted
correctly in some cases. This has been corrected.

Temporary fix

  • sxbase.dll
