Error description

• The support team has identified the need to implement a
  mechanism for enabling tracing of install scripts without
  having to edit them. This internal APAR is to track
  introduction of that mechanism to the product.
  
  Such a change should also included the tacmd shell script used
  in Linux/Unix platforms.

Problem summary

  This APAR implements the first phase of a tracing mechanism for
  the IBM Tivoli Monitoring UNIX/Linux install scripts.  Under
  normal operation, there are no externally visible changes.  The
  trace mechanism is designed to be enabled at the direction by
  IBM Support to aid in problem determination.
