  • N/A

Problem summary

  • The current JDK7 implementation supports clipboard's copy and
paste operations for single 16-bit entities. Where as
supplementary characters whose code points are above U+FFFF are
not support during copy/paste operation with swing components
such as JTextArea / JTextField.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
7.0.0 SR5
.
The JVM has been updated to consider Supplementary characters
during copy/paste operations for awt/swing components.
