Error description
TEM Client version 8.2.1175 MAC OS 10.7 - Client has been registered to the main server but is not reporting. - They were able to download the actionsite using a browser on the endpoing. - They tried 2~3 MAC endpoints for test and had the same issue. - Windows endpoints is confirmed to work. - Firewall on the mac is disabled. - Client Mac is not tunneling through VPN. - They only use IPv4. - They checked firewall settings both incoming and outbound on port 52311 ( windows clients work as expected) - They reinstalled the MAC Client using the masthead exported from the admin tool but this did not solve the issue.
Local fix
Customer can rename their Custom Sites to ASCII names. The issue is the values are not representable on OS X as they run in a slightly different encoding compared to the Windows Server/Console and in current releases we cannot handle this situation.
Problem summary
This issue will be addressed in the next release of IBM Endpoint Manager v.9.0. General availability Q1 2013 (release date subject to change).
