Answer
The expected delivery date (EDD) is calculated using the requested delivery date-RDD (if mentioned on the order). If it is not mentioned (as in ASAP orders), RDD is assumed as the current date.
- Pre defined transfer schedules between two locations.
- Days-of-week delivery can be made based on the service selected.
Through a user exit-YFSGetDeliveryLeadTimeUE: This UE can be implemented in case the business use case demands to use custom transits time depending on the ship from and ship to information. When this UE is implemented the calculation logic of Sterling does not come into picture and values are picked up directly form the class file which is used as a part of the UE implementation.
Using Sterling default logic where Transit Time = A fixed unit of time + (the distance between ship-to and shipping location/average distance per day).
Here, the fixed time and the distance per day can be configured for all carriers at a default level.
The transit days value also depends on the days on which the carrier is working/non-working. This can be configured at Logistics Management->Cross Application->Carrier Services.(refer fig3 attached)
