Error description
A source file from an application hangs during compile at higher optimization levels involving -qhot with V13.1 XLF for AIX. Using -qxflag=ntempv can work around the issue.
Local fix
Use -qxflag=ntempv
Problem summary
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: There are checks in temp vector allocation to ensure the clusters are contiguous. However these checks occur too late - right before vector allocation instead of when the clusters are being created. This results in compile time hang with -qhot for some files. USERS AFFECTED: Users of -qhot
