Problem
No file or zero-byte file sent after change to Segment Terminator in Gentran:Server for Windows
Symptom
- Gentran:Server for Windows, Release 5.2 below patch 2
- Gentran:Server for Windows, Release 5.1 below patch 32
- Gentran;Server for Windows, Release 5.0 and 5.0J below patch 43
- There is raw EDI data in documents in the Out Box prior to the start of a communications session
- Either no file, or only a zero-byte file is sent to the target mailbox by a communication session
- The trading partner is not receiving interchanges sent
- No errors in the Audit Log
- No documents stuck in Processing (View > Processing)
- No documents stuck in Send Queue (View > Send Queue)
- The build templates for the document level, group level and interchange level are in the RegTransObj directory
- The interchange level raw EDI data in the Interchanges Drawer is blank and the Translator Report View at that level says "No File Found"
- The document level raw EDI data in the Interchanges Drawer is visible, but the Translator Report View at that level says "No File Found"
- The TX Trace Utility shows envelopes being built but none of the data in the document
- The entry in the Segment Terminator field of the Outbound Interchange Envelope window of the relationship in the Partner Profile was changed since the last successful send of outbound documents.
- The segment terminator showing in the raw EDI data of the documents in the Workspace (or Out Box) does not match the segment terminator specified in the Outbound Interchange Envelope of the of the relationship in the Partner Profile.
Error Message
There is no error message associated with this issue.
