Problem

Error: Unable to create file buffer

Symptom

Error: Unable to create file buffer
Error: Unable to start service
Errors appear as pop-up error messages and in Windows Application Log with "DSN=Gentran:Director"
Cannot open Gentran:Director.
Pop-up error appears when starting Director Executive, but it does start
Stopping the Director Executive does not cause the GentranDirector.ldb file to be removed from C:\Program Files\Commerce Connection32\Database
