Problem

RACF003I COMPCODE=0000000C when attempting SIGNON to Connect:Direct for z/OS.

Symptom

Attempt to SIGNON to or establish a connection with Connect:Direct for z/OS failed with message RACF003I and COMPCODE=0000000C.

RACF003I: Password has expired.

Cause

For Connect:Direct for z/OS security failures, the 'COMPCODE=0000000C' indicates the failure was detected on the other end.

In this particular instance, the remote mainframe security subsystem has expired the password defined in the remote Connect:Direct's AUTH table for this USERID.

Resolving The Problem

The security administrator must reset the password to the current/valid value for the security subsystem
