Problem summary

  • Mnemonics for the buttons Save, Open and Open Directory don't
work properly in JFileChooser considering different look and
    feel under different languages.

Problem conclusion

  • It has been decided to remove the mnemonics from JFileChooser
for Open, Save and Open Directory buttons as suggested by Oracle
since mnemonics are not crucial for UI controls.
    .
This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
       8 SR2 (8.0.2.0)
