Error description

  • Problem Description: While developing a profile for application
    CMD.exe
    we are facing an issue that access profile does not get loaded
    i.e. it
    doesn?t detect CMD.exe. We have used the following signature in
    general
    properties for access profile
    ?/child::exe[@exe_name="cmd.exe"]?.

    Customr Recreate:  yes
    L2 Support Recreate:  yes

    Desired Behavior:
    able to detect the CMD prompts by AA
    Steps Duplicate:
    1. Create the profile for CMD
    2. CMD does not detect when the CMD opened by AA

    Environment:
    TAM ESSO 8.1
    Solution:

    Unfortunately, the documentation is not clear the link that you
    sent to
    me also, the 8.0 AA was enabled by default. There are some issue
    enabled
    before so the 8.1 AA version make the feature to be disabled.

    However, the steps here should make your deployment easier.

    Post AA installation
    If this is a new deployment for AA,
    1. Modify setupHlp.ini located under AccessAgent 8.1\Config set
    ConsoleAppSupportEnabled value to 1. (As a default,;Whether to
    enable
    TAM E-SSO Console Hook Loader. <1|0> (default: 0)
    ConsoleAppSupportEnabled=0
    2. Install AA. the consolehookLoader.dll will get installed

    After AA installed
    1. Just run the InstallConsole support.vbs , and run the
    necessary
    updates in the Windows. That's why your case does NOT work on
    Windows
    7 but it works on XP.
