Error description

  • Support matrix of Oracle Client for Linux based SNMP collector
needs updated on Doc:

SNMP Dataload 4.4.x:


Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 32-bit            32 bit Oracle
9.2.0.8  client
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 64-bit            64 bit Oracle
10.2.0.4 client

SNMP Dataload 1.3.x:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 64-bit            64 bit Oracle
10.2.0.4 client

To get to 32-bit Oracle 9.2.0.8 on RHEL 4 32-bit, you have to:

1) Download Oracle patch 4198954, which contains two
Oracle-specific Linux rpms:

compat-libcwait-2.1-1.i386.rpm
compat-oracle-rhel4-1.0-5.i386.rpm

2) Install the rpms, install 32 bit Oracle 9.2.0.4 client,
upgrade to Oracle 9.2.0.8 client.
