  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of WebSphere Message Broker v6.1 or higher using the
  FileInput node to transfer files from a remote server.
  
  Platforms Affected:
  All Platforms

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  When transferring a file over ftp the file is first transferred
  to a local staging directory before the FileInput Node processes
  the file. When performing this action a new file is created and
  therefore the last modified date of the file becomes the
  current timestamp.
  

Problem conclusion

• A new property has been added to the FtpServer configurable
  service definition called "preserveRemoteFileDate". When this
  property is set to "Yes" the Broker will set the date of the
  local file in the staging area to the date of the file on the
  remote server.
  
  Note that the level of precision available when determining the
  date can vary across Remote Server implementations. Where date
  information is ambiguous the Broker will base parsing on its
  current locale settings.
  
  If the date can not be reliably determined an exception will be
  thrown and the message will not be processed.
