APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The error message dbSchemaName: CWLDB0000E can be reported for
two very different reasons.  It can be reported because
dbSchemaName is only supported on z/OS or because more then 8
characters are used.  This APAR is to add an insert to determine
between the two reasons.

Problem summary

  • The error message "The database schema name is not valid" was
overused for several errors. The new messages are:

CWLDB3401E: A schema name can only be specified if the database
type is DB2 for z/OS or Microsoft SQL Server

CWLDB3402E: The schema name for Microsoft SQL Server must be
"sdo"

CWLDB0573E: [schema name] with more than [x] chars is not
supported.

Problem conclusion

  • The new messages are expected to be available in 7.0.0.2
