Error description

  • There is no way using version 2.3.1.0 of the Cisco IPT
Technology Pack and 4.4.3 of Netcool/Proviso to configure
multiple CUCM Cluster UBAs are on the same machine.

The problem is that each CUCM Cluster needs its UBA to call
its own 'CUCMAdaptor.js' file, which will in turn call the a
cluster-specific 'CUCMConfig.js' file. But the Topology Editor
will not let users who have multiple Cisco IPT UBAs on a single
system call different versions of the 'CUCMAdaptor.js' file

This is not a problem if you use 2.3.1.0 of the Cisco IPT
Technmology Pack with 4.4.1 of Netcool/Proviso.

Local fix

  • Configure each CUCM Cluster UBA on a different machine.

Problem summary

  • The pack was not originally designed to deploy multiple CUCM
    UBA's on the same system

Problem conclusion

  • An updated xsd file and the directions to modify the config to
allow for this is included in a Technote

Temporary fix
