Error description

• If distribution is pulled from TMC that should be installed from
  CD,
  then error occures:

   The application
   "C:\Programme\Tivoli\lcf\bin\w32-ix86\tools\jre\1.3.0\bin\java.
  exe" caused a program error. Date../time ...
   Exception: c0000005 at address 060F640F
  (libmrt60!ex_delegate)
  
  We found that there is a problem accessing a physical CD drive.
  
  My test here was done with an ISO image on a VMWARE CD drive.
  The .toc file was found. THe customer used a real CD media in a
  real  physical CDdrive and the mobile console does not find any
  files on this CD.  If the files are copied from CD to hard
  disk, then the .toc files are found and installation of
  software package is successful again.
  
  If the "Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user only
  option" is enabled for Windows endpoint, please disable it.
  1) Run gpedit.msc, then go to the following path.
    Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security Settings,
  Local
  Policies, Security Option, and Restrict CD-ROM access to locally
  logged-on user only.
  2) Set the Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user only
  option
  to disable
  
  Please create the APAR for the exception problem in
  libmrt60.dll.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The thread frame is initialized when DllMain is called with
  DLL_THREAD_ATTACH. However, in the case of the problem,
  DLL_THREAD_ATTACH is not called because the thread is created
  before the DLL is loaded. When the application tries to use the
  uninitialized thread frame, the exception occurs.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is included in 4.1.1-LCF-0068 and 4.3.1-LCF-0010.
