Latency can increase when InfoSphere™ CDC for Oracle databases is processing many ROLLBACK entries and failed statements in a large transaction from the Oracle redo log

Troubleshooting

Problem

Latency can grow significantly if InfoSphere CDC for Oracle databases is processing many ROLLBACK entries in a large transaction from the Oracle redo log. ROLLBACK entries are logged with the following types of operations: -- INSERT / UPDATE / DELETE with constraint violation (except NOT NULL constraint) -- ROLLBACK TO SAVEPOINT -- ROLLBACK

Symptom

Replication is slow with high or increased latency.
