A JIT compiled method behaves incorrectly when compiled at warm
level.

The problem is caused by the loop reduction optimisation.

  • -Xjit:disableLoopReduction

Problem summary

  • Problem was occurring due to incorrect JIT optimization of
arraytranslate opcode

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
5.0.0 SR9
6.0.0 SR2
.
The optimization should not be done for the particular pattern
that was getting generated in the code. We need to pre-detect
and address the same. The JIT has been updated to do the same.

To obtain the fix:
Install build 20080708 or later
