IZ08085: DB2BATCH FAILS WITH CLI0150E WHEN RAN FROM V9FP2 LUW MACHINE TO Z/OS SERVER

 

APAR status

Error description

  • When running db2batch from a v9FP2 LUW machine to Z/OS server,
    it fails with a CLI0150E error.

    STEPS:
    x. log in as instance owner
    x. catalog node, dcs, and database entries
    x. refresh catalog cache
    x. test connection
    x. disconnect
    x. create test.txt file
    x. run db2batch to generate CLI0150E error


    COMMANDS:
    $ db2 catalog tcpip node RAFAT remote tlba22me.torolab.ibm.com
    server 448
    $ db2 catalog dcs database JERSEY as NEW_JERSEY
    $ db2 catalog database JERSEY at node RAFAT
    $ db2 terminate
    $ db2 connect to JERSEY user 'username' using 'password'
    $ db2 terminate
    $ echo "select * from employee;" > test.txt
    $ db2batch -d JERSEY -a username/password -f test.txt

    ** CLI error in set statement handle attribute:
    (-99999): [IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0150E Driver not capable.
    SQLSTATE=HYC00

Local fix

  • You can use db2 -xvf to run your script.
