JR54864: Cannot sort category facets alphabetically and cannot display more than 100 facet values

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Two different facet issues were reported:
  1. Cannot sort category facets alphabetically or by particular
  sequence.
  For example, if you use the Category Navigation Widget in your
  store pages, the ability to sort category facets alphabetically
  or by set sequence in Management Center does not currently
  exist.
  
  2. Cannot display more than 100 facet values for a single facet.
  For example, when there is no defined facet limit in the FACET
  table or in wc-component.xml, then the limit is set to 100.

  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Store does not display facet values properly.

Problem conclusion

• To fix problem #1, the following changes were made:
  - Category display order is now consistent between top
  navigation menu and category facet during browsing
  - 3 options for display order
  -- 1) sort by facet entry count
  -- 2) sort by category name
  -- 3) sort by Management Center sequence
  - When showing search result of a keyword search operation,
  category facet entries can only be ordered and displayed by
  facet count (with highest at the top)
  - Category facet sequence order is a site level IT configuration
   and cannot be modified by business user
  - Special case when a category filter is applied on top of a
  keyword search result, then the resulting category facet display
   order will restore the same behavior as browsing
  Note:  another APAR JR54769 may be required when linked category
   cannot be shown properly in the category facet.
  
  To fix problem #2, code was updated to remove the Solr default
  limit by displaying the unlimited number of facet values if the
  limit is not configured in the FACET table or wc-component.xml
  file (facetConfigurationDefaultForLimit property).
