Problem
IBM Content Collector web application service fails to start due to java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError for afu_mapi_if.dll
Symptom
The following error may be observed in the WebSphere Application Server SystemOut.log:
[8/25/11 12:57:13:930 EDT] 00000015 SystemOut O java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: afu_mapi_if (.\afu_mapi_if.dll is not a valid Win32 application. )
[8/25/11 12:57:13:943 EDT] 00000015 SystemOut O Could not access Exchange Session Manager
Cause
A 64-bit JVM is used in WebSphere Application Server.
Environment
External WebSphere Application Server is used for IBM Content Collector Web Application.
Resolving The Problem
- Use a 32-bit JVM in external WebSphere Application Server.
- Alternatively, reinstall IBM Content Collector with the embedded WebSphere Application Server option.
