Error description

  • Methods setStartKey() needs to be a protected method in the
    AbstractBusinessObjectMediator class so that a subclass can
    access the method to meet any requirements.
    

Local fix

  • Manually reset the startKey in the configure file every time the
     data load utility is invoked if the startKey feature is needed.
    

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
    An IT or admin user who runs the data load on command line.
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    Method setStartkey in class AbstractBusinessObjectMediator is
    not customizable.
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Cannot load data with startKey in the replace mode.
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • The setStartKey method is changed to be protected, so the
    subclass can set the startKey to the desired value. The startKey
     that is set cannot be the same as specified in the
    configuration file.
