APAR status

Error description

• If an order qualifies for a free gift promotion and the shopper
  proceeds through the checkout flow to the Order Summary Page,
  then the order inventory is reserved by the Order Management
  System. If the shopper edits or views the shopping cart after
  reaching the Order Summary Page, the product's inventory
  reservation is cancelled but the free gift inventory reservation
   is not cancelled.
  

Local fix

• Order Management System will automatically cancel the free gift
  inventory reservation when the allowed reservation time expires.

  The free gift inventory reservation is not cancelled explicitly
  by WebSphere Commerce, but the reservation will expire in the
  OMS system after the allowed reservation time.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• "Go to cart" has been updated to trigger OrderCalculate to
  recalculate the order, and free gift will be removed and then
  added back. OrderItemDeleteCmd will be called to remove the free
   gift. When the order item is deleted, OrderItemDeleteCmd will
  trigger the inventory cancellation for the order if the order
  inventory status is "ALLC" or "BO".
